PSCNN At Nothing To It!
PSCNN had a wonderful day with the northern Nevada PD community in a Nothing To It PD Culinary Class! Chef Lara Ritchie and her amazing staff provided demonstrations and hands-on techniques with the nutritional needs of PD in mind. Occupational Therapist Heidi Simon was on hand with adaptive instruments for cooking in the Kitchen with PD! Thank you to every person who joined us in learning hands on dietary and nutritional informational recipes! Thank you to Lara for teaching us about the importance of a pantry and to be patient with yourselves in the kitchen!
PSCNN Mini Research Symposium!
PSCNN had a wonderful and educational time at the UNR InNevations Center as we welcomed Michael J. Fox Foundation's Kristen Kovaletz and UNR's Dr. Ruben Dagda for an exciting educational delve into the latest in Parkinson's disease (PD) research. We learned about UNR's amazing compound research and all about how the Michael J Fox research foundation operates, what they research in, and some of the biggest and most important discoveries they have published! Thank You to Dr. Dagda, Kristen and the InNevations Center for a perfect day!

PSCNN had a great time viewing "Still: A Michael J Fox Movie' with our northern Nevada PD community in August of 2023! We enjoyed locally made popcorn, from
Jack's Popcorn Company and locally made Cake pops!
After the movie we were honored to have Movement Disorder Specialist, Dr. Georgetta Varga from Austin Texas, give a question and answer session on Parkinson's in the movie. Thank yuou Dr. Varga!
We also would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Five Star Premiere Residence in Reno for hosting the movie in their theater, not to mention saving the tech problem day!
April Parkinson's Disease Proclamation Event
PSCNN April Parkinson's Proclamation Event 2023
PSCNN celebrated with our northern Nevada PD community through a wonderful educational event
at Reno Little Theater on April 19th 2023. We were honored to have UNR President Brian Sandoval give opening remarks, proclamations from the City of Reno, guest Proclamation Reader Alexis Hill from Washoe County, and guest Certificate reader, Alex Goff from Senator Jacky Rosen's office! We also enjoyed a wonderful presentation from Note-Able Music Therapy Services (NMTS) including a drum circle, and a refreshing reception! It was a good day for Parkinson's education and proclamations!

PSCNN wanted to celebrate April Parkinson's Disease Awareness month 2022 and we did it in fashion! Greater Nevada Field hosted by the Reno Aces was an amazing day to show our Parkinson community support. Sunday April 24th 2022 was a perfectly beautiful day for some hotdogs and baseball!
